These are some of the photos I took close up. Most were done with the macro function on my camera but the lilac was done in auto mode. I particularly like the hornets nest because that is actually up about two stories and I was wondering how well my camera would do by zooming in. It turned out pretty decent so I included it.
I liked the texture of the leaf as well. It was actually a bigger leaf that I had grabbed for my four year old who was tagging along on my photo excursion. He had brought it into the house and had it upside down on the couch. As I was walking by I saw how much detail was showing in the leaf that way so I had to take a shot and see how it would look through the camera.
I love pictures like this and I personally am very fond of taking such photos! I love all the colors you incorporated and the variations in light and contrast. I also enjoy that you have multiple textures. Very nicely done!
I would like to see your variety of pictures put into a scrambled collage, bet it would look really nice.
Thank you. It was really fun to look so much closer at things. It is a type of photography that really makes you slow down and look at the little things in life. I don't tend to like chaos so I chose a structured collage but I may play around with it and post a scrambled one too.
I really like the picture of the leaf. The way you framed the shot, with the line of the leaf more horizontal rather than vertical, makes it interesting. The lines in the picture also work really well to draw my eyes to different locations.
I loved your collage! I too took alot of flowers and then some of bees actually collecting nectar (also wasnt sure how they would come out!!) Great shots!!!
Great photos! I love the brightness and all of the colors. And you can really see the detail in the photo of the leaf! Very cool!
